This book by Mitsuyuki Takemura is a catalog photo collection published to coincide with an exhibition held at the Ginza Nikon Salon in 1991. It was published by Aim Press.

Born in Kyoto, Takemura graduated from the Japan Photography Institute, worked in the photography department at Takashimaya, and then became independent. He studied under Takeji Iwamiya and has been actively exhibiting in the Kansai region since the 1980s.

The works in this book capture the fleetingness of human relationships and the shadow-like existence of people in crowds, all while being immersed in the hustle and bustle of the city. The images of crowds during rush hour and the inorganic cityscapes reveal a dry pathos combined with a sense of the reality of human existence in the city.

This book, composed with the photographer's own text, is a record of a quiet and sharp gaze that captures the human presence wavering in the urban space. It also serves as an important document that conveys a part of photographic activities in the Kansai region.
