A comprehensive catalogue raisonné of Andy Warhol's print works. This volume compiles edition prints created between 1962 and 1987, tracing the entire scope of Warhol's printmaking expression.

Representative Warhol works such as Campbell's Soup Cans, Marilyn Monroe, Mao Zedong, Mick Jagger, Electric Chairs, Flowers, Dollar Signs, and the Endangered Species series are included with color illustrations. Detailed data for each print work is also included, making it not only an art book but also a highly informative catalogue raisonné.

It also includes an introduction by Henry Geldzahler, an essay on printmaking by Roberta Bernstein, and an interview with Warhol's printer, Rupert Jasen Smith. This is an important book that offers insight into Warhol as a central figure in Pop Art, viewed through the lens of printmaking.

Andy Warhol (1928-1987)

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Artist, printmaker, film director.

After graduating from Carnegie Institute of Technology, he worked as a commercial illustrator. From the early 1960s, he began creating works featuring images symbolic of mass consumer society, such as Campbell's Soup Cans and Marilyn Monroe, becoming a leading figure in Pop Art.

Through the repetitive expression using the silkscreen technique, he continuously questioned the relationship between art and mass production, and art and consumer culture. He was active in various fields including painting, printmaking, film, publishing, and music production, greatly influencing 20th-century art.

His representative works include "Campbell's Soup Cans," "Marilyn Monroe," "Electric Chair," "Mao," "Flowers," and "Endangered Species."

Major collections include the Museum of Modern Art, Whitney Museum of American Art, The Andy Warhol Museum, Tate Modern, and Centre Pompidou.
